We are always looking for ways to make calendar time more purposeful. Each day I choose one student to complete the activities. There are follow along pages for students in the class as well. Shapes included are circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval, diamond (or rhombus), heart, star, pentagon, trapezoid, octagon and hexagon.

With new distance learning concerns I have added a digital learning component to this unit. Each shape has a separate link to Seesaw and Google Classroom. Each shape includes a “trace it,” “find it,” “2D sort,” “draw it” and “analyze it.” You can delete what you don’t want to use and share with students what is most relevant to your classroom.
