Plant activities are the perfect segue to spring! If you are looking for print and go science-based printables for your plant unit then you will love Plant Activities and Printables for Kindergarten are perfect for you!
We spend our time learning about types of plants, parts of a plant, plant life cycle, what plants need to live and plants we eat.

The first few printables looks at the different types of plants and living and non-living things.

Plants need air, sunlight, water and nutrients. In kindergarten we talk about soil, but I do also use the word nutrients and describe what this mean.

Each plant part has a specific role. We take the time to look at each part and the job specific to that part. Each plant part has a simple comprehension page with a few questions. There are also a variety of worksheets to meet the different needs in the class: cut and paste, fill in the blank and writing the parts of a plant.

The boys and girls will also look at the life cycle of a plant which goes hand-in-hand with parts of a plant.

We eat plants. Some of the foods we eat come from the different parts of the plant. The boys and girls will get a visual of this when they complete the worksheet Plant parts we eat!
