Christmas Activities for Preschool (and Freebie)
Christmas Activities are just what you need for preschool.  December can be such a magical month.  Children are so engaged in anything holiday so I always try to incorporate holiday related materials within the skills range we are working on.

I hit is big at the dollar tree.  I found mini-tree clothes pins and gifts.   I hot glued uppercase and lowercase stickers to each item and we had to match the uppercase tree to the lowercase gift by clipping the ribbon at the top of each gift.

Festive Seek-N-Find, was the big hit.  I placed the uppercase letters from A-Z in an ornament and then filled the ornament full of sprinkles.  As the children find each letter, they can color it on their printable. Click (here) for this free sample.

The gingerbread loved checking out each of these seasonal mazes.  We placed a magnet behind the maze and a gingerbread hot glued to a magnetic chip on the front.

We worked on our cutting skills with this cute Santa.  First we cut him out.  Then, we cut the lines on his beard.  To help him look “fancy” for Christmas we rolled the strip on a pencil to make them look curly.

We though our Santa was so adorable that we played a little math game with him.  We rolled the dice, counted the dots, and then found the matching number on Santa’s beard and covered it with a cotton ball until his beard was nice and fluffy.

I found these cute little stockings at Target (you could make them with felt and numbered stickers).  I hung them on the wall and we used numbered popsicle sticks to match the numbers.

We had a ton of fun with these cute reindeer.  We hot glued red pom poms and googly eyes to the center of brown paper cups. We sliced two little lines at the top of each cup.  Then on plastic forks we wrote the numbers one to ten  and dots 1-10 on each fork.  V had to choose a number and then, find the matching set.

How many presents was a blast.  V choose a number and then clipped the child to the matching number of presents.
