Thanks for stopping by Kindergarten Rocks on your way through our blog hop! We are sharing our favorites for the month of February.
February is one of my favorite teaching months. We spend the month learning and discussing Valentine’s Day and Dinosaurs and all of the concepts and themes that go along with them!
I revolve all of my lessons around literature. The books below all have elements that tie in nicely to concepts and themes that I would work on in a preschool or kindergarten classroom.
Whether you teach preschool or kindergarten, you have to check out this freebie (here). One of my favorite lessons revolves around the book, The Day it Rained Hearts by Felicia Bond.
Favorite Math and Literacy Center Units
My favorite February units are Dinosaurs and February Math and Literacy Centers. The units are full of fun, colorful pictures that keep students engaged throughout the month of February.
My kids are really enjoying Dinosaur Math and Literacy Printables. I love them, because you can use them any time of the year AND they are extra engaging for little boys and girls that love dinosaurs.
