I am really excited about Summer Math and Literacy Centers. All of the centers were created for kindergarten students to help them get read for first grade. This packet has many activities that will help students strengthen skills. Several of the activities come in colored and black and white to help save on colored ink.
Fun with ten frames! Love the card stock I purchased from Target (neon). The kids have been drawn to the activities!
Counting by tens is easy for most kids by the end of kindergartners. This activity really makes them think about the position of the numbers.
We work on tallies all year long. This activity is a great review and the boys and girls love talking about the fun things they will do during the summer.
Some students still need practice with facts to 10. It is fun to see some of the kids whiz through this. They are very proud of their accomplishment! However if you are using this in summer school, you are working with students that may not have mastered this skill.
Practicing writing and ordering numbers is always a great review!
My students love building the Sight Word Sundae’s. I like to surprise them with a sundae following this literacy activity!
Choose from over 20 sight words. Students will have fun talking about all of the summer graphics.
This is always a favorite! Students love solving the sight word mystery and discuss fun camping experiences and aspirations.
